How to connect a Namecheap domain

Recommended: One-click connection with Entri

RebelSites uses Entri to auto-configure your DNS — no manual record editing needed. When you click "Connect Domain" in the app, an Entri modal opens and handles everything automatically for Namecheap and most other registrars.

1. In RebelSites, go to your site settings and click "Connect a custom domain."

2. Enter your domain name.

3. Click "Connect" — the Entri modal will open.

4. Sign into your registrar when prompted.

5. Entri configures the DNS records automatically. Done.

The whole process takes about 30 seconds. If Entri can't connect to your registrar automatically, it will show you manual instructions instead.

Manual setup (if Entri didn't work)

If the automatic connection didn't work, follow these manual steps.

Step 1: Log into Namecheap

1. Go to namecheap.com → sign in → "Domain List" → "Manage" → "Advanced DNS" tab.

Step 2: Add the CNAME record

1. Click "Add New Record."

2. Type: CNAME Record | Host: www | Value: paste CNAME target | TTL: Automatic

3. Click the green checkmark.

Step 3: Root domain redirect

In Advanced DNS, add a URL Redirect Record: Host = @, Value = https://www.yourdomain.com, type 301.

Check your nameservers

Make sure nameservers are Namecheap defaults (dns1.registrar-servers.com). If they're on Cloudflare, see the Cloudflare workaround guide.
