If you already have a website, you can paste its URL when building your RebelSites site. RebelSites will scan it and use what it finds to give you a better starting point.
During the initial setup, there's a field for your existing website URL. Paste the full address (including https://) and RebelSites will scrape it before building.
You can also skip this step and build from scratch — it's optional.
RebelSites uses Firecrawl to scan your existing site. Here's what it looks for:
Brand colors — the primary, secondary, and accent colors your site uses. The new site will match your existing palette.
Fonts — heading and body font families. If you use Google Fonts, they'll carry over.
Logo — pulled from the header or branding metadata. Used in your new header and footer.
Photos — real images from your pages get downloaded and stored. The AI uses them instead of stock photos.
Business name and tagline — extracted from page titles and meta tags.
Phone number — found in the page content and formatted as a clickable link.
Page content — the AI scans up to 10 pages to understand your site's structure and copy.
The new site won't be a pixel-perfect copy of your old one. RebelSites builds a fresh, modern Astro site — but one that looks like yours. The same colors, the same fonts, your real photos, and copy that sounds like your business.
If your old site had outdated design patterns, the new one will look better. The scrape gives the AI context, not constraints.
Scrapers aren't perfect. If the AI uses the wrong colors or misses your logo, just tell it in chat. 'Use my brand color #2E5FA3' or 'Replace the hero photo with my logo' — those are quick surgical fixes.
RebelSites can't scrape sites that require login or are behind a paywall. If your site is password-protected, paste a staging URL or skip the URL field and describe your brand in chat instead.
