This guide walks you through connecting a NameSilo domain to your RebelSites site. The fastest method is Entri — it connects automatically in about two minutes. If you prefer to do it manually, the DNS steps are below.
In RebelSites, go to Settings then Domain.
Enter your domain name and click Connect Domain.
Choose Connect with Entri.
Log in to your NameSilo account when prompted.
Entri will add the required DNS records automatically.
Click Confirm. DNS usually propagates within 5 to 15 minutes.
Entri handles everything — you don't need to touch NameSilo's DNS panel at all.
If Entri isn't available or you prefer manual control, follow these steps in your NameSilo account.
In RebelSites, go to Settings then Domain. Copy the CNAME target shown there. It looks like a long subdomain ending in .workers.dev or similar.
Go to namesilo.com and log in. Click Manage My Domains, then click the domain you want to connect.
Click Manage DNS on your domain's page.
Type: CNAME
Host: www
Value: paste your CNAME target from RebelSites
TTL: 3600 (or leave at default)
Click Submit.
NameSilo does not support CNAME records at the root (apex) domain. You have two options:
Use www as your primary domain (recommended). Ask visitors to go to www.yourdomain.com. Set up a redirect from yourdomain.com to www.yourdomain.com using NameSilo's URL forwarding feature.
Add a CNAME for @ if NameSilo supports CNAME flattening in your account (some registrars call this ALIAS or ANAME).
DNS changes take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours. Most NameSilo changes propagate within an hour. Once it's live, RebelSites will detect the connection automatically and issue an SSL certificate.
In RebelSites under Settings then Domain, the status will change from Pending to Active once everything is connected and SSL is issued.
